Season Delay Extended
Submitted By Laura Kranenburg on Tuesday, April 28, 2020
The SSMBA executive would like to thank everyone for their patience while we work to navigate these evolving challenges.  We are still following the recommendations of both the Province and our affiliated associations.

Baseball Ontario has declared that there will be no affiliated baseball activities until at least May 31st and Softball Ontario until May 4th (will likely be extended).  We expect even if things begin to open up, the delay will be longer getting on the fields if given the go-ahead by the Province while the Town works to get their facilities ready for use.  Other Towns have already closed recreation facilities until June 30th, which will affect the teams that we play and therefore, our ability to play games.

We will do everything we can to help get a season of some sort this year and we are looking at creative solutions if this becomes possible.

If there are parents that are interested in being a Head coach, co-head coach or assistant coach, please get in touch with me (Laura) at [email protected]

Coaching clinics will not be held in person this year.  They will be held online so it is a great year to get your coaching qualifications.

We will be in touch with any changes that happen and, if we are allowed, the notifications for Rep team tryouts will go out by email, on our website and on our Facebook page.  All other teams will be rostered as soon as rep teams are selected.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
