SSMBA 2026 Rookie Ball Registration
Includes SSMBA registration for co-ed Junior Rookie (6U - born in 2020 or 2021) and Intermediate Rookie (7U - born in 2019) baseball in summer 2026 (May-Aug).
Deadline for 2026 regular season registration is 31Mar2026. NOTE: there will be no cost increases for rookie ball registration in Jan or Feb.
SSMBA 2026 Winter Development + Regular Season Registration
Includes SSMBA registration for the following activities:
- Winter 2026 softball and hardball development (Jan-Apr). Deadline for Winter Development registration: 11:59pm, 15Dec2025.
- Summer 2026 Local League softball and hardball registration (May-Aug). Local League Regular Season registration cost will increase to $250 on 01Jan2026 and to $275 on 01Feb2026. Deadline for 2026 regular season registration is 31Mar2026.
This registration does NOT apply to PWSA rep softball team players.
SSMBA 2026 Rep/Select Team Tryouts
Includes SSMBA registration for Rep / Select team TRYOUTS ONLY for the 2026 season. There is no cost for these tryouts.
If your child successfully earns a spot on the team, then a $75 Rep / Select team enrollment fee will be required.

Please be aware that we do not allow underage children to play up a division unless they tryout for an OBA or PWSA team and make the team. We will be verifying registrants with their birth year before teams are made. This is done to support the health and development of our players and our league. Thank you for your cooperation.
Junior Rookie
Junior Rookie is for children born in 2020-2021 for the 2026 season. It is a fun oriented introduction to baseball. Played on Saturday mornings, coaches and volunteers teach basic baseball skills by rotating the children through different drills. As part of the development each week a t-ball game is played as a wind up activity. Each player has a chance to hit and field.
The season starts the Saturday before the May long weekend and goes until the end of July. The program does not run on long weekends.
Intermediate Rookie
Intermediate Rookie is for children born in 2019 for the 2026 season. It is a fun oriented division with players placed on teams with a dedicated coach. The program is set up to practice on one Saturday and play a game the next Saturday with another in house Intermediate team. This format will continue throughout the season.
This, however, can only work if we have 4 dedicated volunteers put their name forward to coach. This format will prepare the players for the transition from Intermediate Rookie to 9U Senior Rookie or U9 fastball.
The season starts the Saturday prior to the May long weekend and finishes at the end of July. The program does not run on long weekends.
9U Hardball
9U is for children born in 2017-2018 for the 2026 season. It is more structured than the Intermediate division. Players at this level begin play in the WOBA (Western Ontario Baseball Association) loop. The teams are in a league and there is travel to other towns to play. 9U will have tryouts for a rep OBA team and a Select team. The try outs are held in the fall. Those not selected for a representative team will be evaluated for local league teams. Games are played in a league format. Coaches introduce a pitching machine for games.
11U Hardball
11U is for children born in 2015-2016 for the 2026 season. 11U will have fall tryouts for and OBA team and a Select team. We expect to have representative and local league teams.
13U Hardball
13U is for children born in 2013-2014 for the 2026 season. At the 13U level there is also an OBA team. Tryouts are held in the fall. We expect to have representative and local league teams.
15U Hardball
15U is for players born in 2011-2012 for the 2026 season. Teams will depend on registration.
18U Hardball
18U is for players born in 2008-09-10 for the 2026 season. Teams will depend on registration.
U9 Female Fastball
U9 is for players born 2017-18-19 for the 2026 season. A great introduction to fastball. A Select team is chosen from tryouts held in the fall. The house league players play in the Intercounty Softball Association (ISA) loop.
U11 Female Fastball
U11 play in the Intercounty Softball Association or Grey Bruce League. A great introduction to fastball. Females born in 2015-2016 are eligible for the 2026 season. A U11 PWSA team and Select team are chosen at tryouts in the fall.
U13 Female Fastball
U13 play in the Intercounty Softball Association and Provincial Women's Softball Association. Females born in 2013-2014 are eligible for the 2026 season. Two PWSA rep teams, level A and B are chosen at the fall tryouts.
U15 Female Fastball
U15 play in the Intercounty Softball Association and Provincial Women's Softball Association. Females born in 2011-2012 are eligible for the 2026 season. A PWSA team is formed at the fall tryouts.
U17 Female Fastball
U17 play in the Intercounty Softball Association. Females born in 2009-2010 are eligible for the 2026 season.
