Return to Play Summary for Parents and Players 2021

  • Parents are to bring own chair and set them up along outside fences.  Stands are for team use.
  • Dugouts will be used for players for games only when distancing is possible.
  • Washrooms are open
  • Coaches will disinfect common touch points at beginning and end of their time slot.
  • Coaches will sanitize equipment at end of practice/game/training
  • Catcher’s equipment must be sanitized after each person’s use
  • We are discouraging the use of shared equipment. Any shared equipment must be sanitized between users.
  • Players will be reminded to keep 3m distance when on the field. Masks must be worn when this is not possible. Coaches will remind players of this.
  • Masks are required until players and caregivers are in the ‘spectator or playing area’ where 2m distance can be maintained
  • PWSA players need to wear them all the time.
  • Recommend players and coaches sanitize hands upon arrival, departure and every 30 minutes. Players are asked to bring their own sanitizer.
  • Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before and leave playing field directly after to avoid congestion
  • Please download the ONDECK app to record your attendance.  This is for covid contact tracing and must be completed at every baseball training session/practice or game.  There will be a picnic table at each diamond for check in.  Please go straight there upon arrival (maintaining physical distance if a line forms) to show that you have completed the attendance tracker and to complete your COVID screening questionnaire with the volunteer.  Each coach will be needing someone to facilitate this.
  • If you are not feeling well- please do not come to baseball.  If you fail the screening process at the diamond, you will not be permitted to play and must abide by Public Health rules.
  • No sharing of water bottles, food etc. No handshakes, fist bumps or high fives.
  • First Aid will be deferred to parents where possible.  If not possible, coach will don a mask and gloves prior to providing first aid.
  • 2 Groups of 10 allowed per diamond.  No mingling.  Coaches can move through groups- but not players.
  • No scrimmages allowed.
