When your child is put on a wait list it could mean 2 things.  The first would be that there is no coach for that team. The second would be that at that time there are not enough players for a team and when enough players register then a team will be formed if there is a coach. This applies for house league. Rep coaches and teams are picked in September.

How can you volunteer to be a coach or helper?
On the registration form there will be a section where you can choose to be a volunteer whether as a coach or helper.

What is Winter Development and how long does it last?
Winter Development is a program supported by SSMBA for SSMBA registered players.  You must be registered to be eligible to participate. A parent can register their child in the program which runs from January to April one night a week.  The venues are our local school gyms and the United Church gym.  Spots are limited do parents are encouraged to fill out the form when they register their child for the 2025 ball season.
The focus is development, which encompasses agility and drills to develop the player over the winter to be ready for the spring season.

Why do I want to fill out the Hat and Jersey form?
The hat and Jersey form gives the Equipment Manager information that will help determine sizing when putting together uniforms for the teams.  SSMBA is always working to ensure that each child has a uniform that fits as much as possible.
Each player can receive a hat if they choose. SSMBA offers a hat to each player each year. If you do not need a hat you can choose that option on the form.
It is a mandatory form to fill out when you register your child.

Who can participate in the Winter Development Program .
If your child is registered with SSMBA and their birth year is within 2017 and 2009 then they are eligible for the Winter Development program. There is a cost attached to the program.
